Republicans Can Kiss My Gray Alien Ass!

July 24, 2011

I’m sick and tired of hearing republicans stand up there and tell us that this gridlock is why the American people gave them a majority in the House in 2010. The real reason for their victory last year was that the Tea Party energized all the wackos. Recall the summer of 2009 when these wackos,in an uproar over healthcare reform, tore into their representatives at town-hall meetings saying, “Lower taxes, shrink government, but keep your hands off our Medicare and Social Security!” Those clueless boneheads showed up at the polls en masse while most Americans chose to stay home. The result was that the right-wing, tea-party, fringe element infested the sacred halls of government like fire ants at a picnic. So, when the republican leaders claim they are serving the will of the American people, they are actually only serving the will of a bunch of pissed-off nutcakes. Recent opinion polls show that 85% of Americans are angry at them. We want them to quit playing politics and embrace the spirit of compromise in order to get things done.

The current debt ceiling debate is the biggest thing to confront the federal government in a long time. Everyone agrees that we are in a big debt hole and spending must be reduced. President Obama has bent over backwards in order to accommodate the “party of no”, including cuts to our crucial social programs. Any moron knows that part of the solution must include increases in revenue. The republicans are not just any morons, however. They want to retain all the tax breaks for their wealthiest contributors, while putting an end to all programs that provide assistance to the less fortunate among us. They are willing to torpedo our country, send us into another great depression, and throw millions more people out of work in order to try to prove that their position is the only right one.

I almost feel sorry for Speaker Boehner. He is a fairly reasonable man (as far as republicans go), but he is being pressured by the hardliners of his party to do their bidding and refuse to compromise on anything. This “my way or the highway” attitude isn’t doing anything to bring about an equitable solution. Voters need to remember this next November when you go to the polls: Republicans are wrong for America and the tea-party fringe is a disaster. They have sacrificed mainstream Americans on the altar of partisan politics to achieve their nefarious goal of ruining President Obama. Justice can only be served if the republicans are thrown out and Obama is re-elected. This assumes that America as we have known it still exists after August 2 when the country is scheduled to go into default. If the republicans get their way, only the fat cats will be able to make it to the polls. The rest of us will be unemployed, homeless, broke, hungry, sick and dying. The republicans deserve ALL the blame and we must place the blame where it belongs.

Saw this post on facebook the other day. I think it hits the nail on the head. So sad.
I was talking to my 83 year old father (who lives in GA) on the phone the other day and he said: “The problem with America today is that the Republicans hate — truly hate — their President more than they love their country. And they will run this country into the ground to prove it.” I think that pretty much sums it up. (via

I saw all the republicans walk out of the house yesterday. Last time I checked, if I walked out on my job I would be fired. The people should be very mad at them for doing this. They, too, should be fired. Vote them all out. They are good for nothing.

You’re right, you would be fired. I did my part to try to prevent these extremists from being hired (or re-hired) in 2010. When they walked out yesterday, they were high-fiving each other because they had scored another victory over the American people in general and Obama in particular. When Mitch McConnell is smiling, you know we’ve been screwed… again. I’m thinking of calling an exterminator to see if they can spray the capitol against republicans. Voting doesn’t work when only the brain-dead sheeple show up at the polls. You’d think that this latest assault on working people would open some eyes of the wrongful right, but it probably didn’t.
