This Is Scary!

November 24, 2010

The mousey, unattractive women in the top row probably don’t turn many heads on the street. For that reason they were chosen to take part in a competition for the best makeover. Every possible beauty treatment was made available to them over a 12-hour period before the contest. The results were the bevy of foxy ladies in the bottom row. Surely they would catch your eye. The woman 2nd from the left won the contest.

So, why is this scary? Think about it, guys. What you see is not always what you get. Women know that, for men, love enters through the eyes, and they take full advantage of that fact. It is deception plain and simple. Beauty is only skin deep and such superficial beauty always fades over time. Let’s say you meet and marry one of these “after” babes. Even if you can afford to keep up her illusion, she may eventually get tired of all the work it takes to look hot and sexy so she just lets herself go. You become bitter because you’ve been the victim of a bait and switch scam. She no longer feels desirable so she engages in binge eating. Now you find yourself married to a fat, old, bitter, version of the mousey “before” woman in the top row.

The lesson here is this: If you find yourself thinking you could spend the rest of your life with a woman because she’s gorgeous, try to get a good look at her right after a shower. This is the real woman – with no makeup, no fancy clothes, no push-up bra and no expensive hairdo. If you still find her appealing, all is good. If not, find a compatible, pleasant-looking, low-maintenance “before” woman who will be grateful for your attention. Leave the hot beauties for the poor saps that think only with their little heads (which also tend to fade over time).

Ha thats funny, but true. Hey I make no bones about the fact that it is a lot of upkeep and I am nowhere near one of those made-over women. It is a lot of work but you have to do something! I color my hair, get it cut, wear make-up. And trust me a good bra will do wonders. I have finally realized though that I do it just as much or even more for me than for hubby. I get tired, depressed and scared looking at myself without all of that.

Why not use what you can to look and feel better? You up-keep your house don’t you? You study to become smarter right? Well bring on the girlie goodies I’m not going without them.
